Ram has had over 22 years of industry experience primarily in the areas of Marketing, Sales, Corporate Strategy and International operations post acquiring an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering form the University of Madras and a post-graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad. At Odus, Ram very selectively offers business and product consulting to our domestic as well as international clients. He has held a number of leadership positions in senior management and was last Chief of International Operations at Pidilite Industries Limited. As Head of International operations at Pidilite, Ram over saw the launch of Pidilite's range of products into various emerging International markets across Africa, the MEA region, SAARC, Russia, and South America. Prior to this Ram was responsible for establishment of the branded aftermarket battery program-Amaron at Amara Raja Batteries Limited (ARBL) and saw business grow from conception to over Rs.100 Crs. p.a. in 5 years. At ARBL, as Executive Vice President, Ram was also responsible for leading the sales and marketing effort, interacting closely with the JV partner- Johnson Controls, Inc to bring the automotive project to fruition while also establishing export business in over 20 countries.

Ram has also had successful senior level stints as Vice President- Copper Marketing at Sterlite Industries guiding the company to market leadership and as General Manager- Replacement sales at Exide Industries, reversing decline in Aftermarket sales to power Exide to 'Superbrand' status. For the year 2004, the Centre for Change Management recognised Ram as one of the “Super Achievers.” At the present time, Ram also serves on the Boards of IP Rings Ltd. and Amco Batteries Ltd. as an independent Director. Ram also lectures at business schools like ISB, IIM, Kozhikode and IMT, Gaziabad on the topic of brand management and marketing strategy.
